September 2025 inshore fishing report. Hilton Head, Sc

The inshore bite around Hilton Head is heating up fast as we roll into early fall. Cooler mornings and shorter days have really kicked the fish into gear, and the action has been incredible lately. We’re seeing steady improvement every day, with some trips producing 40+ fish days.

Redfish are grouping up nicely on the flats and along shell banks, and we’re catching good numbers on artificial lures. The trout bite has also picked up, especially around moving water and current edges but clear water is a necessity , and we’re starting to see some solid flounder mixed in too.

This is one of the best times of year to fish Hilton Head — the weather’s comfortable, the boat traffic is light, and the fish are feeding hard as they fatten up for winter.
