April 2025 Inshore Fishing Report Hilton Head,Sc

April brought some windy weather and the typical spring transition, which made for a some tough days on the water. Even so, we managed to stay on quality fish.

Not seeing big numbers of trout, but the size and quality are as good as it gets. Redfish are holding in much smaller schools and have become more selective with artificial lures now that bait is showing up. Live bait was almost a necessity this month.

Cobia have started to show up, and small pogeys are moving into the river—a great sign for things to come. As we move into May, conditions should settle and the bite will only get better.
